Saudi non-oil exports fell by 10 percent year-on-year (down by SAR 1.7 billion) to SAR 14.9 billion in December, according to the latest figures released by the kingdom’s General Authority for Statistics.
On a monthly basis, non-oil exports grew by SAR 541 million.
The decline was mainly driven by a SAR 1.3 billion drop in the kingdom’s transport equipment exports; in addition to chemicals exports, which fell by SAR 615 million.

Exports of rubber and plastic products rose by SAR 240 million. Pearls, precious stones & metals followed, rising by SAR 103 million.
The United Arab Emirates continued to be the highest importer from Saudi Arabia, despite an 18 percent decline YoY in imports. It was followed by China, Singapore, India, and Kuwait.
The five countries accounted for 42 percent of the kingdom’s non-oil exports.
