Flynas, which is 34.08 percent-owned by Kingdom Holding Co. (KHC), signed on Monday a deal worth SAR 32.3 billion ($8.6 billion) with Airbus to buy 80 A320neo planes, KHC said in a statement.
Under the agreement, the new planes will be received gradually from 2018 to 2026, and the budget carrier has the right to purchase 40 more aircraft going forward.
Riyadh-based Flynas, which was formerly known as Nas Air Holding Co., flies to domestic and regional destinations.
