Cement academy to train Saudi nationals by 2016: Yanbu Cement GM

Saudi cement companies are planning to launch an academy to train Saudi nationals to work in the kingdom’s cement industry, said Ahmed bin Abdu Zugail, director general of Yanbu Cement Co.

Zugail told CNBC Arabia that the academy will be launched in 2016, and will be managed by an international cement company.

He said that due to the lack of Saudi nationals with the right technical skills, a majority of technical positions in the country are held by expatriate workers.
