National Chemical Carriers (NCC), a subsidiary of the National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia (Bahri), took on Friday the delivery of its second IMO 2 class chemical carrier, bought on April 30, Bahri said in a statement to Tadawul.
The financial impact of the deal will be reflected in the last quarter of 2015, it added.
NCC, which is 80 percent owned by Bahri, signed a memorandum of understanding in April, to buy two second-hand monohull tankers, previously owned by the Norwegian shipping company, Berganger KS, for $28.5 million, according to Argaam.
They were built at a dock in South Korea in 2009. The carriers have a capacity of around 45,000 DWT.
NCC received the first carrier on July 5.
