Mobile Telecommunications Company Saudi Arabia (Zain Saudi) said it has expanded 4G LTE coverage to 71 cities in the kingdom, Alriyadh newspaper reported.
The telco was said to now be covering 70 percent of the country’s inhabited areas.
The expansion comes within Zain Saudi’s strategy introduced last year to expand and upgrade network services and coverage.
In February, the company signed a three-year agreement with Astellia to support Zain’s network-based customer experience analysis program aimed at enhancing its services.
The kingdom’s third-largest mobile operator had also previously announced network upgrade agreements worth SAR 4.5 billion with five leading global technology companies, as part of its transformation plan.
