Subscribers at Saudi Arabia’s third largest mobile operator, Zain, have exceeded the 10 million mark, helping maintain the company’s place as the kingdom’s third-largest mobile operator, Hassan Kabbani, the CEO of the telco, said during a press conference on Monday.
Kabbani said his company currently holds 19 percent of the telecom market, which is dominated by Saudi Telecom Company with 50 percent, and Mobily with 31 percent, according to local media reports.
The CEO also admitted that the company’s previous management teams have made several mistakes, such as sport sponsorship and opening several sales centers without paying more attention to the quality of services provided to customers. He stressed that the current management will work on putting balanced emphasis on such issues.
