Saudi Basic Industries Corp. (SABIC) is set to sign a memorandum of understanding with Saudi Arabia’s ministry of health on Tuesday to build a SAR 300 million hospital in Riyadh that will specialize in treating mental illness and addiction, the kingdom’s state news agency has reported.
The move falls in line with the ministry’s and the petrochemical producer’s efforts to promote corporate social responsibility, which also aims to improve the quality of services in this area.
SABIC is 70 percent-owned by the Saudi government.
