Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Saudi Arabian Mining Co. (Maaden), which is set to hire and train 500 young Saudi interns.
The 500 candidates will be assigned to the Waad Al-Shamal project.
Maaden said the agreement will provide job opportunities for the Northern Borders Region nationals, Alriyadh newspaper has reported, citing CEO Khalid S. Al Mudaifer.
Overall, Maaden’s investments have reached SAR 26 billion, including SAR 21 billion in the Waad Al-Shamal project in which the company is establishing a mining industries compound, he added.
Companies in the kingdom are currently working towards applying Saudization regulations in order reap government benefits as a result of hiring more Saudi nationals.
