Dur shuts down Riyadh venue in bid to exit amusement parks sector

27/04/2015 Argaam

Dur Hospitality Co. said on Monday that it has shut down its loss-making Al Rawda Park in Riyadh as it moves to exit the amusement parks business.

The company is planning to end its lease agreement with the land's owner Riyadh Municipality, it said in a statement to Tadawul.

The closure is not expected to have an impact on Dur Hospitality’s financial results, as the park had been witnessing annual operational losses.

In December, Argaam reported on the hospitality company’s plans to close its Alwatan Theme Park in Riyadh.
