Al-Rajhi Bank was ranked as the largest weighted stock on the Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) by the end of first quarter this year, snagging the position for the second consecutive quarter.
The kingdom’s leading retail lender saw its weight rise to 8.08 percent from 7.62 percent in fourth quarter of 2014, according to data compiled by Argaam.
Based on Tadawul’s updated free-float report, Saudi Basic Industries Corp. (SABIC) ranked second on the list, maintaining the previous quarter’s weight of 6.06 percent.
The National Commercial Bank, the kingdom's largest bank in terms of assets, ranked third on the list.
Saudi Electricity was the twentieth and last on the list. Jabal Omar moved up to the fourth spot. Meanwhile, Savola Group was back to the fifth rank and Saudi Telecom Co. (STC) moved down two notches to the tenth position.
Etihad Etisalat Co. (Mobily) also moved down to fourteenth from eleventh place.
The free-float index includes stocks of all listed companies, after excluding government shares, as well as strategic partner and founder shares, and ownerships that are more than 10 percent of total issued company stocks.
