Zoujaj sees 25% profit growth in 2015

The National Co. for Glass Industries (Zoujaj) said it is eyeing a 25-percent profit growth at the end of this year.

Zoujaj said that its Riyadh plant expansions are currently in the final stage of development, and will start production this coming quarter.

However, the company said it’s still mulling expanding its production line to manufacture glass flasks, containers and jars.

Zoujaj’s 45 percent-owned subsidiary, Saudi Guardian Glass Co. (GulfGuard) obtained the board’s nod to add a new line for the processing of architectural glass, thermal insulation increase, in addition to producing multi-color brands.

The bourse-listed company has also disclosed its ownership structure in 2014.

Zoujaj posted a 36-percent rise year-on-year in last year’s profit to SAR 61.5 million. However, sales during the same year retreated by 2 percent year-on-year due to a 5.5 thousand-ton drop in production on the back of scheduled maintenance.
