The National Shipping Co. (Bahri) has been awarded a SAR 400 million contract by Saudi Arabia’s interior ministry to provide shipping and transportation services, making it the exclusive provider of domestic and overseas services for the ministry for the next five years, the company said in a statement.
The deal’s financial impact will be reflected during the second quarter of 2015, it added.
Bahri could also be assigned additional shipping and relocation services by the ministry during the duration of the contract.
The National Shipping Co. is 22.5 percent owned by the kingdom’s Public Investment Fund.
