The Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) closed on Monday 0.8 percent, or 69 points, higher at 9,213 for the first time in over two months.
The value of shares changing hands neared SAR 11.5 billion.
Most of the stocks shut in the green. Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) added 3 percent to SAR 95.21 on trading volume of over 7.5 million shares.
Nama Chemicals soared the daily limit to close at SAR 13. AlHokair hiked over 9 percent to SAR 108.81.
Mobily, Saudi Industrial Investment Group, Jarir and Tasnee gained between 2 and 5 percent.
Meanwhile, Saudi Telecom, Al-Rajhi Bank, and National Commercial Bank ended in the red, edging down almost 1 percent.
Al Alamiya bottomed out for the second straight day, to close at SAR 95.25.
