Saudi Banks’ consolidated profit rises 29% in August 2014

Consolidated earnings of Saudi banks rose 29% to SAR 3.8bn in August 2014 compared to SAR 2.94bn for the same month last year; according to SAMA’s monthly newsletter released today.

Saudi Banks’ earnings grew 12% to SAR 28.23bn during the first eight months of 2014 compared to SAR 25.16bn for the same period last year.

The earnings included the results of the 11 Saudi listed banks in addition to the National Commercial bank (NCB) and 11 foreign banks’ branches operating in the Kingdom.

Consolidated balance sheet of Saudi banks showed 14% increase in assets reaching SAR 2069bn by the end of August 2014.

 

Deposits rose 15% to SAR 1524bn and loans’ portfolio grew 12% reaching SAR 1233bn as shown in the following tables:
