Al-Tayyar Travel Group said on Tuesday that it has named Abdullah bin Nasser Al-Dawood as chief executive starting next month.
Al-Dawood, however, will no longer be a board member, the company added.
Al-Dawood’s appointment comes after the group reappointed acting CEO Ali al Tijani as vice chief executive, the company said in a filing to Tadawul.
The new CEO has occupied several executive positions, the company said. His last post was chief executive of the Investment Banking Group at Deutsche Bank Group Middle East and North Africa. He was also a board member in several Gulf Companies, the company added.
Al Dawood holds an MBA and a Master’s degree in international political science and economics from Georgetown University in the United States.
Al-Tayyar’s board assigned Al Tijani as an acting CEO on Nov. 18 after former chief executive Fahd Al Jarboua submitted his resignation, according to data compiled by Argaam.
