Maaden’s subsidiary to shut down plant for maintenance

Further to the Companys announcement on 09/03/1433H corresponding to 01/02/2012G, regarding commencing the commercial production of DAP at Phosphate Complex in Ras Al Khair which belong to Maaden Phosphate Company. Maaden would like to announce the continuation of gradual increment of its capacity production of DAP until reaching the designed capacity of the plant which was estimated by 3 million tons annually. This gradual increment shall be in a direct proportion with production capacity of Phosphoric Acid Plant which is operated less than its capacity due to technical obstacles which effect negatively on production cost per tonne; these obstacles are being dealt with to continue increasing production gradually as established in such industry at the beginning of production. 
MPC is a joint venture project between the Saudi Arabian Mining Company, Maaden and Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC), 70% for Maaden and 30% for SABIC.
