King Abdullah Economic City signs SAR 90mn contract for the development of “Village” housing complex

King Abdullah Economic City signed a contract with Creet International Contracting Company and Dar Al-Tasmem for the development of the first and second phases of the Labor Village housing complex which will accommodate 2500 workers and supervisors employed by companies in the Industrial Valley.
 

 Phase one and two of the Labor Village will occupy approximately 36000 sqm of built-up area, including infrastructure development and electromechanical works, in addition to roads,
sidewalks, landscaping and fences. The total area of the Labor Village housing complex will be 48500 sqm.


“The construction work started last January and the completion of the first phase will end by February 2015, while work on the second phase is expected to be completed by July 2015”; Mr. Fahd Al-Rasheed, Group CEO and Managing Director of KAEC stated according to “AlRiyadh” newspaper.


According to data available on “Argaam”, KAEC is an integrated city developed by “Emaar Economic City” on an area of 180 km ² which is located on the Red Sea coast to the North of Jeddah which includes a waterfront up to 38 km ².
