Yamama Cement Co is committed to relocate its cement factory in Riyadh after an alternative location has been designated to install the new factory in line with Riyadh environmental regulations, a Riyadh municipality official said.
The new factory is in the process of getting a license from the ministry of petroleum and mineral resources, said Abdel Aziz al-Moqbal, vice president of Riyadh municipality council.
In 2012, the company was ordered to relocate its factory in Riyadh within 4 years. Yamama has a factory in south Riyadh with a capacity of 6 million tons of cement a year.
