Saudi Public Transport Company (SAPTCO) said on Thursday it qualified for a tender to supply, operate and maintain buses for the Makkah public transport project, the first phase.
The company received a confirmation letter from Makkah Development Authority and will compete for the deal under a consortium with French RATP Dev. and Dallah Albaraka Group, SAPTCO said in filing to Tadawul.
The company entered a strategic tie-up with RATP Dev in 2010 and with Dallah Albaraka in March.
The consortium won a SAR 7.8 billion contract in February for the supply, operation and maintenance of King Abdulaziz Project public transport vehicles in Riyadh.
