Etihad Atheeb Telecom (GO) is expected to turn to profit within two years with its operational losses on the decrease, CEO Emad Ahmad Maali told Al-Arabiya TV.
The company’s accumulated losses were cut to around 52 percent in late June, he said, adding that revenues from the broadband service are continuously decreasing due to tough competition with Saudi Telecom Company (STC) and Mobily.
To sort out this issue, the company plans a slew of long-term strategic tie-ups in the coming days with industry partners to boost sales and revenue, he added.
GO posted a net profit of SAR 60.4 million in the first quarter of 2014.
