Farhan al-Jarba has replaced Fahd al-Dughaither as chairman of Mobile Telecommunications Company Saudi Arabia (Zain KSA) effective March 10, Zain said in a statement.
Mr al-Dughaither, who became chairman on March 20, 2013, will maintain a non-executive post in the firm’s board.
Mr al-Jarba is a leading figure in the telecommunication business in Saudi Arabia with 34 years of experience, Zain said.
Zain, Saudi Arabia’s third largest mobile company by number of subscribers, is 37 percent owned by Kuwait’s Zain.
