Oil tanks
US oil inventories increased more than expected during the week ended April 4.
According to data issued by the US Energy Information Administration today, April 9, commercial oil inventories rose by 2.6 million barrels last week, against forecasts for a 2.1-million-barrel uptick.
Meanwhile, gasoline inventories fell by 1.6 million barrels, with distillate stocks— which include diesel and heating oil—also down by 3.5 million barrels.
