The National Water Co. (NWC), represented by the Central Cluster, started implementing 30 new water and sanitation projects in the Riyadh region.
The projects worth SAR 2 billion involve water pipelines and networks with a total length of 1,955 kilometers.
The initiative is part of the company’s ongoing efforts to execute its strategic plans for developing infrastructure in both the water and environmental services sectors, based on initiatives designed to increase service coverage for customers.
NWC started work on 16 water projects worth over SAR 1 billion in Riyadh and several other governorates in the region.
Meanwhile, it initiated 14 sanitation projects valued at more than SAR 902 million in Riyadh city and several other governorates in the region.
The company indicated that this new package of projects follows its announcement in May 2024 regarding the implementation of 46 projects valued at over SAR 1.6 billion, in addition to the announcement in August 2024 about the initiation of 20 projects valued at nearly SAR 1 billion.
The projects are part of NWC's efforts to enhance the water distribution system, mitigate environmental damage, and ensure water security and environmental balance.
The company also continues to implement its strategic plans to improve operational efficiency in the water and environmental sectors according to the highest standards of quality and performance, and in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
