The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, delivered a speech to the citizens and residents in the Kingdom, as well as all Muslims, on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

"We express our gratitude to Allah for granting us the privilege of witnessing the blessed month of Ramadan, a period of mercy and forgiveness. We extend our congratulations on the arrival of the holy month, and we beseech Allah Almighty to grant us success in observing its fasts and prayers," King Salman said.

"We acknowledge with profound gratitude the honor bestowed upon this blessed nation in serving the two holy mosques and their visitors, pilgrims, and Umrah performers, a noble tradition upheld by the kings of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia since its unification under the leadership of King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud," he added.
