One of SMC Hospitals
Saudi Arabia’s SMC Hospitals is planning an initial public offering (IPO), joining a group of healthcare companies that have gone public on the Main Market (TASI), Bloomberg reported, citing informed sources.
The sources indicated that the company is working with SNB Capital and EFG Hermes on the potential offering, which is expected to take place during the second quarter of this year.
However, a final decision has not yet been made, as the details regarding the offering size and its timeline are still under discussion, the sources added.
According to Argaam, SMC Hospitals started operations in 1999 and runs two medical facilities in Riyadh with more than 600 beds. The third hospital is under construction at the Northern Ring Road and operates 250 outpatient clinics.
