DEER IT and Aramco Technologies Sign Licensing Agreement for Smart Assembly Point System

10/02/2025 Press Release

DEER IT, a company specializing in Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things (IoT), signed a licensing agreement with Saudi Aramco Technologies Company (SATC), a wholly owned subsidiary of Aramco, for the commercialization of the Smart Assembly Point System (SAPS). This system leverages emerging technologies to achieve a high level of readiness in case of emergency incidents and evacuation procedures.

SAPS’ focus is on the safe and efficient evacuation of individuals from buildings and industrial facilities during emergencies, such as fires, gas leaks, or other hazards. This system is equipped with some of the latest IoT technologies, enabling real-time monitoring and counting of evacuated individuals. It integrates various sensors to track wind speed and direction, temperature, and industrial gas leaks. As such, SAPS could become an important tool for safeguarding staff in high-risk work environments.

DEER IT’s CEO, Engineer Mutlaq Al-Subaie, commented:

“This collaboration with SATC marks a significant step forward in the field of IoT and occupational health and safety. As a Saudi tech company, it is our aim to deploy the latest IoT technologies to enhance safety in various work environments. SAPS was developed to optimize emergency evacuation plans, increasing efficiency during evacuations.”

SATC’s CEO, Dr. Raed H. Abudawoud, added:

“SAPS is an example of our Digital Transformation initiatives, transforming manual emergency response management into an automated system by leveraging real-time data from sensors and analyzing the data using artificial intelligence, to optimize emergency evacuation plans more effectively. We are excited to partner with DEER IT to commercialize this technology and are looking forward to great commercial success.”

In conclusion, the partnership between DEER IT and SATC to further develop SAPS represents a “leap” in occupational health and safety, particularly in high-risk environments and industrial facilities. The system employs advanced IoT technologies to enhance emergency preparedness by integrating modern sensors for monitoring environmental factors and tracking the number of evacuees digitally. This partnership highlights the need for new innovations to enhance traditional evacuation plans, targeting greater efficiency and faster emergency response times. The Smart Assembly Point System embodies a step towards the future, where technology becomes an integral part of prevention and protection strategies in workplaces.
