Saudi Arabia’s merchandise imports grew 14% year-on-year (YoY) in November to SAR 73.7 billion, according to data issued by the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT).
Moreover, merchandise imports decreased 4%, or nearly SAR 3 billion, month-on-month (MoM), as follows:

Imports of machinery and mechanical appliances, electrical equipment, and parts thereof accounted for 28%, or SAR 20.7 billion, of the total Saudi imports in November.
Vehicles, aircraft, vessels, and associated transport equipment came in second at roughly 14%.

Saudi Arabia’s imports came mainly from China in November, at SAR 20.1 billion (27%) of the total. The US came in second with SAR 7.5 billion, followed by the UAE (SAR 3.9 billion).
