Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman held a phone with US President Donald Trump to congratulate him on taking the oath of office and assuming the presidency of the United States.

 

During the call, they discussed ways to strengthen economic cooperation between Saudi Arabia and the US, Saudi Press Agency reported.

 

The Crown Prince expressed desire to expand Saudi investment and trade relations with the US over the next four years, committing $600 billion, with the possibility of increasing this amount if more opportunities arise.

 

They also deliberated on joint efforts to promote peace, security, and stability in the Middle East, in addition to enhancing bilateral cooperation in combating terrorism.

 

Additionally, the two leaders explored means to enhance mutual relations across various fields. The Crown Prince highlighted that the anticipated economic reforms under the new US administration could create unprecedented economic growth, from which Saudi Arabia could benefit through strategic investment partnerships.

 

For his part, President Trump expressed his gratitude to the Saudi leadership, emphasizing the importance of developing economic ties to serve the mutual interests of both nations.
