Saudi Arabia distributes tourism assets to prevent overburden: Al-Khateeb

Minister of Tourism Ahmed Al-Khateeb said the Kingdom’s tourism assets have been distributed nationwide to prevent over-tourism in a single city.

 

Speaking at the World Economic Forum, he noted that tourism contributed 5% of gross domestic product (GDP) by the end of last year, with a target of 10% by 2030.

 

Saudi Arabia saw a record 30 million international visitors in 2023 and aims to reach 70 million by the end of the decade.
