US President, Donald Trump
President Donald Trump began his second term in office as the President of the United States with significant promises and a series of impactful measures on economic, social, and political fronts, just minutes after his inauguration.
In his inaugural speech, the incoming President asserted that the golden age of America is beginning now. He also underlined that the use of the Department of Justice and the government as weapons will end.
In a reference to the Joe Biden administration, Trump said a "radical and corrupt" institution has worked to strip power and wealth from our citizens.
Noting that national unity returns to America now, Trump highlighted January 20, 2025, as the Day of Liberation.
He also indicated that climate, education, and public health policies will be reviewed and rapidly adjusted, adding that he will sign a series of executive orders to launch a "common sense revolution."
Trump further confirmed that “We will not forget our country, our Constitution, or our God.”
Additionally, Trump said would declare a national emergency on the southern border, adding that “criminal aliens" will be deported, and troops will be deployed at the border. The "Remain in Mexico" policy will be reinstated, and cartels will be classified as terrorist organizations.
Trump would direct his administration to mobilize all available resources to defeat record inflation and lower prices quickly. The inflation crisis was caused by massive overspending and rising energy prices.
Moreover, a national energy emergency will be declared, and the US will use its oil deposits to refill stockpiles and boost exports.
“We will manufacture cars in America at a rate no one could have imagined a few years ago…a "foreign revenue service" will be established to collect new tariffs.”
Trump promises also included reforming trade system to protect workers and families, not taxing citizens to enrich other countries, imposing tariffs and taxes on foreign nations to enrich US citizens, government’s official policy includes only two genders: male and female, the Gulf of Mexico will be renamed as the Gulf of America, and American astronauts will be sent to Mars.
“China controls the Panama Canal, and we did not hand it over to China—we gave it to Panama. We will reclaim it,” he said.
The White House issued a statement outlining a set of priority measures discussed in Trump’s speech, which are expected to be officially signed later today.
