Tariq Aba Al-khail, spokesperson for the Saudi Geological Survey (SGS), announced the release of new geological data packages at the Future Minerals Forum (FMF) in Riyadh, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

The new data, available via the National Geological Database (NGD), includes 43 airborne geophysical survey maps, set for release by the end of 2024 as part of the third publication phase.

This will bring the total number of geophysical survey maps published on the platform to 164, covering 65% of the planned 252 maps.

Additionally, the geochemical survey data for surface sediment samples has been updated, with new maps showing single-element distributions and statistical interpretations.

This covers 20% of the previous data release and includes 10 out of 50 planned geological quadrants.
