Tamkeen Human Resource Co. received a circular from the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (HRSD), specifying the required quota of domestic support labor within the company's total workforce, according to a statement to Tadawul today, Jan. 7.

The circular outlined the varying thresholds, based on the total head count of domestic support labor by each company.

The breakdown is as follows:

As much as 30% if the number of domestic support resources is 3,000 or fewer; 20% if the count ranges 3,000-10,000; and 10% if it is between 10,000 and 15,000. No specific threshold applies if the number exceeds 15,000 resources, the company added.

It indicated that these requirements came into force as of Jan. 5.

According to Tamkeen, given that its total domestic support resources range from 3,000 to 10,000, the directive mandates a 20% threshold of the company's total workforce for this category.

This decision, according to the company, is expected to have a sustainable impact on its operations, enabling lower obligations for recruiting domestic support labor under a specified quota. Consequently, this would help curtail recruitment-related expenses.
