AMAK to shut down copper, zinc concentrate plants for maintenance

Almasane Alkobra Mining Co. (AMAK) announced that the scheduled periodic maintenance shutdown of the Al Masane and Moyeath mine processing plants will start from Jan. 7 and last five weeks.

 

In a statement to Tadawul, the company said that the scheduled periodic maintenance shutdown is in line with the company’s 2025 business plan and aims to enhance the reliability of the plants to achieve future operational objectives.

The financial impact will depend on the actual duration of the maintenance and average sales prices of metals and will be reflected in Q1 2025 financial results.

 

The company will make further announcements in relation to any updates and progress in due course.

 

AMAK said that both plants process copper and zinc concentrates, adding that any updates in this regard will be disclosed in a timely manner.
