Saudi Transport Minister Saleh Al-Jasser said the sector created 122,000 jobs in the first nine months of 2024, including 29,000 localized roles.

 

Speaking at the 2025 Budget Forum, he noted local content rose from 39% in the base year to 50% this year, moving closer to the 2030 target of 60%.

 

The National Transport and Logistics Strategy is accelerating, with transformative investments set to boost its implementation further, the minister said, adding the sector grew 17% in two years since its mid-2021 launch.

 

Al-Jasser said aviation sector is growing, with 50% increase in destinations from pre-pandemic levels. Passenger numbers surpassed targets over the past three years and have grown by more than 15% in 2024, he added.
