US natural gas inventories rose by 42 billion cubic feet (bcf) in the week ended Nov. 8, slightly under the anticipated 44-bcf rise.
This is considered the 13th successive weekly rise for natural gas inventories.
Total natural gas stocks reached 3.97 trillion cubic feet (tcf), up 4.1%, or approximately 158 bcf, compared to the same period last year, according to data released today, Nov. 8, by the US Energy Information Administration (EIA).
Additionally, inventories are 6.1%, or around 288 bcf, above the five-year average (2019-2023) of 3.74 tcf.
