Riyadh will rank among the top 10 cities in the world, said Fahd Al-Rasheed, Chairman of the Saudi Conventions and Exhibitions General Authority (SCEGA) during his participating in the 8th Future Investment Initiative (FII).

He added that Saudi Arabia, one of the G20 economies, is growing rapidly, with non-oil industries seeing a growth rate of 7%.

Vision 2030 propelled the exhibitions and conferences industry, as over 17,000 events were held in 2023, Al-Rasheed said. He stressed the need to increase this number to 40,000 events by 2030, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

The official noted that the hosting of Expo 2030 will be a significant gain for the Kingdom, as this global event brings countries together and reflects a vision focused on future aspirations.

The artificial intelligence (AI) will bring substantial changes to the Kingdom, particularly in adapting cities, transforming the world, and reshaping the job market toward a new future.
