Jeddah Economic Co. (JEC) is set to sign an agreement today, Oct. 2, with Saudi Binladin Group (SBG) to resume construction of the Jeddah Tower project, the would-be world's tallest tower, with a value exceeding SAR 8 billion, Al Eqtisadiah reported, citing sources.

 

The newspaper noted that several local and international companies expressed interest in competing to complete the Jeddah Tower project.

According to data available with Argaam, MEED reported in September 2023 that JEC resumed works on Jeddah Tower that will exceed 1,000 meters tall.

 

Jeddah Tower is part of the Jeddah Economic City project, which spans an area of five million square meters and is owned by Jeddah Economic.
