Saudi Electricity's CEO resigns, Khalid Al-Ghamdi takes helm

Saudi Electricity Co.'s (SEC) board of directors approved the resignation of CEO Khaled Al-Gnoon, effective Sept. 25, 2024, according to a statement to Tadawul.

 

The board also approved the appointment of Khalid Al-Ghamdi as CEO, starting Sept. 25, 2024.

Al-Ghamdi holds a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering from KFUPM, Saudi Arabia, and a Master’s degree of Information Systems (MIS) from the University of Phoenix, the US.

 

Al-Ghamdi currently holds the position of Executive Vice President, Technical Services and Acting Vice President Risk Management & Compliance at SEC. He has 20 years of diverse and cross-functional experience, having led the Corporate Digital Strategy, Investments and Growth at Saudi Aramco.

 

He also held several leadership positions, such as Project Manager for Saudi Aramco 4th Industrial Revolution Center, Head of Advanced Process Solutions and Head of Process Automation Systems at Aramco Corporate Engineering.
