US natural gas inventories rose by 13 billion cubic feet in the week ending Aug. 30, below the expected increase of 26 billion cubic feet.
The US Energy Information Administration reported today, Aug. 5, that total natural gas inventories reached 3.347 trillion cubic feet, 6.6% (208 billion cubic feet) higher than the same period last year.
Inventories are also 10.7% (323 billion cubic feet) above the five-year average of 3.024 trillion cubic feet.
