National Shipping Co. of Saudi Arabia (Bahri) said today, Sept. 3, that its oil tanker Amjad, which was sailing in the Red Sea on Sept. 2, was not the target of any attack.

Amjad, however, was sailing near another tanker that was attacked.

Bahri confirmed that none of its personnel was injured, and there was no damage to its tanker.

Amjad is operating at full capacity and heading to its planned destination, without interruption, Reuters reported.

Bahri said it informed all relevant authorities immediately, adding that it remains in constant contact with the tanker’s crew and is closely monitoring the situation.
