Public, private sector bank loans up 11% in April

Saudi bank loans granted to public and private sectors rose 11% by the end of April to SAR 2.77 trillion, compared to SAR 2.49 trillion a year earlier, according to data issued by the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA).

 

Private sector lending also increased by 11% year-on-year (YoY) to SAR 2.61 trillion for the same month.

 

Meanwhile, loans granted to public non-financial institutions jumped 21% YoY to about SAR 157.7 billion by the end of April.
