stc considers possible offer for United Group: Report

stc Group is in the early stages of considering an offer for European telecom and pay-TV operator United Group, Reuters reported, citing three people familiar with the matter.

 

The talks are at an early stage, which may or may not result in a formal offer, the report said.

The deal may value United Group at about $8.7 billion, including debts, according to the sources.

 

UK buyout group BC Partners, which acquired United Group from KKR in 2019, is working with advisors on the sale that is due to start in the coming weeks, the sources said.
