Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) has been ranked the world’s most valuable sovereign wealth fund (SWF) brand, with $1.1 billion, according to a study conducted by Brand Finance.
PIF’s value is largely driven by high scores for the brand’s awareness, purpose and commitment to positive growth, according to the report.
Looking ahead, the PIF has ambitious growth prospects, aiming to reach $2 trillion in assets under management (AUMs) by 2030. This ambition has enhanced the fund's brand value and brand strength as it adopts bold investment strategies that align with other SWF brands.
PIF is a global investor with AUMs valued at more than $930 billion. It seeks to create and develop new business sectors and opportunities that contribute to shaping the future of the global economy. It is a key driver of economic transformation in Saudi Arabia. Since 2017, the fund has launched 94 new companies and contributed to providing more than 644,000 local job opportunities.
The Brand Finance study included more than 4,400 entities, including direct business companies (B2B), media outlets, and specialized audiences in major global markets. It also included qualitative interviews with executives in the sector.
The brand of the Norwegian Government Pension Fund ranked second among the highest valued SWF brands, followed by the brand of the China Investment Corporation. The following table shows the top 10 most valuable SWF brands for 2024:

According to the report, PIF ranked second among global SWFs in terms of brand strength, scoring 62.1 points with an A+ rating.
The report added that the fund's brand strength stood out in many sub-indicators, including brand awareness, purpose, and commitment to positive growth.
The ADIA brand ranked first globally by brand strength.
