Sahara International Petrochemical Co. (Sipchem) resumed operations, on May 25, at three plants affiliated with its subsidiaries, International Vinyl Acetate Co. (IVC), International Acetyl Co. (IAC) and International Gases Co. (IGC) after scheduled maintenance.

During the scheduled turnaround, all the required works were safely completed, which will enhance plant efficiency, increase their reliability, reduce production costs, and help achieve its future operational plans, Sipchem said in a Tadawul statement.

The related financial impact will be reflected in the second quarter of 2024. The company earlier announced that it had taken the necessary actions to eliminate any potential impact on its customers.

In April, Sipchem announced a scheduled shutdown of the plants affiliated with IVC, IAC and IGC starting May 1, Argaam earlier reported.
