The decision to grant Saudi, Bahraini, and Omani citizens a five-year Schengen visa when applying for the first time does not imply any additional fees, Al Eqtisadiah newspaper reported, citing Christophe Farnaud, EU Ambassador to Saudi Arabia.
He added that application for the five-year Schengen visa will continue without any radical changes, noting that such citizens can stay in the Schengen area for a period of up to 90 days in every 180 days over five years.
According to data available with Argaam, the French Ambassador to Saudi Arabia said a decision was taken to grant Saudi citizens a five-year Schengen visa when applying for the first time.
