The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (HRSD) said that more than 200,000 insurance policies benefited from recruitment insurance in 2023, state-run news agency SPA reported.

The insurance services for domestic worker contracts contributed to reducing the risks that may arise during the contract duration, which ensures the protection of the parties to the contractual relationship, the ministry added.

More than two million recruitment contracts were concluded through the "Musaned" platform during the year, with new countries available for the recruitment of domestic workers, Ethiopia, Burundi, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, and Gambia.

Meanwhile, the number of countries available to recruit female domestic workers reached 33, which provides many different options for beneficiaries.

Furthermore, in an effort to review costs, services provided, and systems in accordance with economic developments, the platform reduced the recruitment prices ceiling in 2023 for a number of countries, the Philippines (SAR 14,700), Uganda (SAR 8,300), Kenya (SAR 9,000), Sri Lanka (SAR 13,800), Bangladesh (SAR 11,750), and Ethiopia (SAR 5,900).
