SAPTCO inks MoU with South Korean firm for smart transport system

Saudi Public Transport Co. (SAPTCO) and Naver Corp., a South Korean company, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to establish a smart transportation system in Saudi Arabia.

 

According to South Korea's Yonhap News Agency, SAPTCO and Naver entered will collaborate to construct a high-resolution map and simulate current traffic conditions in Saudi Arabia. 

 

This project leverages cutting-edge technologies like cloud computing, artificial intelligence (AI), and digital twin. 

 

Furthermore, discussions between the two sides include the establishment of a dedicated sovereign cloud for SAPTCO's smart transportation systems and the implementation of smart closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras using AI.
