Lucid Motors Co. plans to announce the second phase of production in Saudi Arabia soon, Al Eqtisadiah reported, citing Firas Kandalaft, Marketing Director, Middle East.

In the second phase, Lucid will shift to complete build unit (CBU) production of some models at its facility in King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC), Jeddah. In the first phase, the AMP-2 has the capacity to assemble 5,000 Lucid vehicles per annum.

The electric vehicle car maker, partially owned by the Public Investment Fund (PIF), opened in September 2023 its first-ever car manufacturing factory in KAEC, Saudi Arabia, Argaam earlier reported.

Lucid Group has assembled almost 800 cars in its Saudi Arabian factory since its opening, according to Faisal Sultan, Vice President and Managing Director of Lucid Middle East.
