Advanced Supply Management Operations (ASMO), the joint venture between Saudi Aramco and DHL, was established to serve the industrial sector’s supply chains, logistics services, warehouses and delivery needs, the company’s Purchasing Director Saad Al-Hajri told Argaam.

The executive added that the company was established as a single platform for various leading industrial companies and SMEs to provide procurement services, storage, transportation and delivery services in the local and global markets.

Furthermore, ASMO will serve capital projects by providing and purchasing capital machinery and equipment, as well as spare parts for operational services and supporting manufacturing operations for the industrial sector. It will focus on the oil and gas, petrochemicals and aviation sectors.

Al-Hajri stated that the company will first cater to the Saudi market and then move to the regional and global markets within the next five years.

The company combines the procurement expertise of Saudi Aramco with the supply chain knowledge of DHL, Al-Hajiri added.

He further indicated that the capital contribution from the partners in ASMO is currently under study, given the presence of expansion plans by the two companies in the near future. The Kingdom’s Vision 2030, economic diversification, increased investment, attractiveness and legislation led to attracting investments and expanding the company’s scope of work, Al-Hajri added.
