The Saudi Cabinet, chaired by Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, endorsed today, Dec. 26, control measures for government contracts for companies that do not have their regional headquarters in Saudi Arabia.

The Cabinet also agreed to amend Article 14 of the Private Health Institutions Law, to stipulate that for licensing either general or specialized medical complex, there must be at least one consultant physician or a deputy physician, as the relevant regulations may specify, in each of the main licensed specialties, Saudi Press Agency reported. In addition, one or two nurses must be allocated for each clinic.

The Cabinet also reviewed the achievements of the national economy in the current year, and the plans, programs and development projects that were carried out and will lend support to the comprehensive economic development of Saudi Arabia and help achieve the goals of Vision 2030.

Saudi Arabia’s government will not contract any foreign company or commercial entity that has headquarters in the region, other than the Kingdom, starting from Jan. 1, 2024, Argaam earlier reported.
